Thama Kamikaze

Childhood

Thama was born in Bandung, on a sunny day in August 1978. He grew up in a Christian environment family. His parents are originally from Tanah Karo, North of Sumatera. Being one of the Karonese born and living in Sundanese region was not really easy for him. Back then, bataknese people were considered migrants with upfront and sometimes rude behaviour and of course the "religion". He grew by knowing that he was not accepted by his community because he was different!

Born again

On September 1992, his sister asked him to go to a students outreached at Gelora Saparua Bandung. It was a huge event, thousands of young people came to that event and listened to the word of God. The event was called "Ku Mau Disana". On that event, he invited Jesus to be his own saviour and for Him to come to his heart and to be his Master. That was the milestone that change his life forever. Start from that point, God has given him opportunities to join ministry. Thama went to SMAN 2 Bandung where he joined the school student ministry. He learned so much through this ministry. This was the place when he knew God more deeply. His love to God and unbelievers was grown significantly.
On 1996, Thama went for his first Mission Trip at Palembang to visit Javanese migrant community. The day that he was back from the "mission field" was the announcement day of UMPTN. He then found out to be accepted as one of the student at Bogor Agricultural University. He was officially registered as a student at Teknologi Hasil Ternak, Fakultas Peternakan, Bogor Agricultural University.

Journey Continues

On August 1996, Thama start his journey at Fakultas Peternakan, Angkatan 33. He moved to Bogor and was introduced to PMG (Persekutuan Mahasiswa Gabungan). He joined the group and continue his Christian life. His sister was also a member of the group as well as a student at the same university. On his first year, he regularly went home for the weekend and support his old ministry at SMAN 2 Bandung. He was the worship leader at one outreach event at Bandung when Bang Rahmat preached. Kak Risma was there and saw his potential of being a worship leader. He was then offered to be a singer at GKKD Bogor. He joined the prophetic ministry at GKKD Bogor and started to be a singer. His prophetic gifts was growing and he eventually become one of the worship leaders at GKKD Bogor. Thama spent a couple year leading a cell group and some bible study groups. On top of those, Thama was also known to have a potential in business area. He started to earn extra money by being a sales person. He learned basic people skill while doing his business.


Vision

In a fasting prayer meeting on 2002, God spoke to Him, "FEED THE NATIONS". He did not know what those words mean until God gave him a revelation about King Joseph. He believed that King Joseph had 3 annointings. They were King, Food Technologist and Businessman. King Joseph did an incredible job on the 7 years of plenty of food and 7 years of famine. This revelation inspired him to do further study and get on hands experience. He decided to go to New Zealand to continue his journey.

New Zealand - Incredible journey with God

On October 2003, Thama left Indonesia for New Zealand. He studied Postgraduate Certificate in Science at Massey University - Palmerston North New Zealand.
On October 2005, Thama started his first real job at Ridge Natural Foods Limited, a dairy processing company as Production Manager, located at Hamilton, New Zealand.
Thama bought his first business in New Zealand on November 2006. His first company is Three Stones Limited, a registered company in New Zealand. He is a member of Eastside Apostolic, Hamilton New Zealand, a church with a passion in World Mission www.eastside.apo.org.nz as well as Business Edge Group, a Christian Business Comunnity www.businessedge.org.nz. Apart from those, he is also a member of New Zealand Institute of Food Science and Technology, www.nzifst.og.nz to keep him on the right track.
